i can't believe how quickly the summer is passing. i can't believe this weekend is the fourth of july!~ we spent all yesterday at the pool in a marathon pool session that was so long it included pizzas delivered. i have sunburn from my knees up (not knees down, of course, where a tan would be important.) i think i am going to spend every moment left of this summer doing the most summery things i can think of. swimming. popsicles. gardening. picnics. sundresses. evening walks. barbeques. lemonade.

sunshine in her hair and smelling like flowers.
everybody stops to watch what she will do next
first swim, neverending daylight, peaches.
one popsicle later you're unpacking sweaters
missing crickets
and the smell of rain
