three cheers for the chair of cheer and the madelyn gym

mady and sadie, bff.
(best friends forever, for everyone over the age of 10 who didn't know the acronym.)

mady and the joyschool house.
Joyschool was at our house this week, and I taught the kids about the joy of goal striving and order. Madelyn's (about to be achieved) goal is to ride her trike all the way around the Call's driveway. We go "trikin" about 3x/week at the Call's house. They have a big, glorious, traffic-free expanse of cement, ready for trikes. I throw Mady's trike in the back of the truck, and we meet all our friends for trikin. Look forward to pics later.

Momma made some bread today, and homemade granola bars, yum! Enough to share with the neighbors, and a loaf for Mary, who lost the baby :(

Exercise is a friend around here lately, both Christian and I have been hitting the gym. Our little "sponge" MJ has apparently noticed. (We call her THE SPONGE, because she absorbs everything we say. We also use SPONGE as a verb, ie. "careful right now, she's sponging.") Anyhoo, the sponge and I were at the grocery store and I was outta arms and outta basket room.
R: Mady, can you help me? Here, carry this.
M: No, I want to carry that.
R: That's too heavy for you. Let momma carry it. You carry this.
M: No it's not too heavy for me. I'm strong. Me and my friends have been going to the Madelyn gym and we're getting really strong!

This is all that was left of the sushi I made for our girls lunch. Just a sad, empty fish. The whole tray was full. I'll take a picture before lunch next time.

This week was the reveal of the baby exersaucer, a.k.a. the chair of cheer. Olivia seemed excited (albeit overstimulated) to sit in the seat and play with all the toys, although Mady seemed to enjoy it more.

She just really doesn't look all that excited here, does she? Trust me, the baby was happy.

Notice MJ playing in the background.

Our little spongie and the sweet angel had lovely naps today, and there is no sweeter sight than babies sleeping, so I'll leave you with this-
